Singclean Cohesive Viscoelastic
Singclean® Cohesive Viscoelastic is a clear liquid gel composed of sodium hyaluronate and physiological balancing salts. It serves as a surgical aid in ophthalmic anterior and posterior segment surgeries, including cataract extraction, corneal transplantation, glaucoma surgery, filtering procedures, and secondary lens implantation.
Singclean® Cohesive Viscoelastic undergoes moist heat terminal sterilization during processing. The product is for single-use only and is packaged with a 27G blunt needle, which is sterilized using ethylene oxide (EO).
What is OVD?
An Ophthalmic Viscoelastic Device (OVD) is a class of polymer solutions designed to create and maintain space while protecting endothelial cells during ophthalmic surgery.
Why OVD Is Needed in Ophthalmic Surgery?
Sodium Hyaluronate OVDs (Ophthalmic Viscosurgical Devices) provide excellent chamber stability during phacoemulsification and intraocular lens (IOL) insertion and removal, thanks to their high viscosity and molecular weight.
OVDs minimize instrument-tissue interaction, absorb shock, and protect the corneal endothelium while maintaining exceptional optical clarity.
High viscosity facilitates the separation of adhesions and blood clots.
OVDs' lubricating properties aid in the removal of blood clots and tissue fragments.
OVDs promote wound healing and help prevent contact adhesion.

direction of Use
First expulse the air out of the ophthalmic Luer-Lock needle, then inject Singclean® Super appropriately into eye. The injected amount must be adapted to the type of surgical procedures.
The needle should fit to the syringe Luer tip (Shown in figure 1); however, over tightening may cause the hub to weaken and possibly detach from the syringe. Extraction of a test droplet is recommended prior to entering eye, and excessive force on the plunger should be avoided.
