From Jan. 22 to Jan. 28 is the Chinese New Year of Rabbit, it is the festival for family members to get together and blessing for the new year’s fortune. 2023 in lunar calendar is the Year of Rabbit, rabbit means positive, kind, transcendent, peaceful in Chinese culture. So the Year of Rabbit also means career breakthrough, peace and prosperity. During the Spring Festival, Chinese people will gather together to enjoy New Year's Eve dinner including dumplings, rice cake, fish and other delicious foods. Elder people will also give children lucky money which would be packed in red paper, it means elder people’s blessing for them. What’s more, people also light fireworks to celebrate the prosperous New Year. And during this time, all the Chinese people will enjoy a long holiday!
